La Légende de Daphné

Daphne is a nymph, daughter of the river Ladon and Earth. Pursued by Apollo's amorous advances, she flees. Just as the god is about to catch up with her, she calls upon her father, who transforms her into a laurel tree. Apollo will make it his sacred tree.
