Hangovers from Hell
Binge drinking, pub crawls, chugging, extreme drinking... terms used by adolescents to describe a dangerous phenomenon: absorbing a maximum of alcohol in a minimum of time. Ever younger males and females alike are indulging in excessive social drinking, despite the risks. The result: the number of alcohol-induced comas increased by 50% between 2002 and 2008 among the under-15 age group. Addiction is spiraling, and it is not uncommon to see youngsters attending school in a drunken state.
